Badisa is looking for an organised, creative and proactive Communications & Marketing Administrator to join our Management Programme/Head Office team (Communication & Marketing, Partnerships Department).
This role is suited to someone who enjoys working with people, keeping multiple projects on track, communicating clearly and helping good ideas move from planning to implementation.
Working across Badisa’s network of programmes, the Communications & Marketing Administrator will provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Communications & Marketing team. The role will help ensure that content is collected, communication is sent on time, campaigns are supported, marketing resources are organised and the many moving parts within the department stay on track.
THE ROLE
The Communications & Marketing Administrator will support the daily functioning of the Communications & Marketing Department and assist with internal and external communication, social media, content coordination, campaigns, events, marketing materials and general administration.
A key part of the role will be communicating with Badisa programmes and Head Office departments to collect information, stories, photographs and other content needed for marketing and communication purposes.
The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, comfortable following up with people, able to manage deadlines and confident working across several projects at the same time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the day-to-day administration and coordination of the Communications & Marketing Department.
• Coordinate internal and external communication, including newsletters, notices, emails and programme updates.
• Assist with social media planning, content creation, scheduling and engagement.
• Gather stories, photographs and information from Badisa programmes and Head Office departments.
• Liaise with programmes, suppliers and other stakeholders, and follow up on deadlines and outstanding information.
• Coordinate marketing materials, printing, branding resources, promotional stock and the marketing storeroom.
• Support organisational campaigns, events, activations and other marketing projects.
• Assist with media administration, including media lists, press material, interview coordination and coverage tracking.
• Maintain databases, contact lists, content libraries, records and departmental filing.
• Assist with reporting, statistics, project tracking and general marketing administration.
• Ensure communication and content are aligned with Badisa’s brand, consent requirements and communication guidelines.
• Manage the online store, process payments, stock control and ensuring orders are processed in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• A relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Administration, Media or a related field will be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a marketing, communications or administrative support role will be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Experience with Canva or similar design platforms will be advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans will be advantageous.
• Valid Drivers Licence would be advantageous
• Experience within the NPO, social services or community sector will be an advantage
