Alta du Toit Care Centre is a program of Badisa, a joint ministry initiative of the Dutch Reformed Church [Western Cape] and the United Reformed Church in Southern Africa [Cape].
Responsibilities:
- Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, with continuous observation of physical and emotional state of clients;
- Identify, prevent, and report risks to ensure client safety;
- Contribute to a positive client experience by assisting in the creation of a conducive environment, within the scope of practice for enrolled nurse auxiliaries;
- Provide assistance to Carers regarding taking care of clients as operationally required;
- Clinic/ Sickbay service;
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions;
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged;
- Compliance with minimum norms & standards (health & safety regulations).
Relevant experience:
- Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary Certificate
- SANC valid registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- 1 year post qualification experience
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Scientific nursing principles and process and Patient assessment skills
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for specific speciality areas
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
