Strand Sorg/Care consists of two homes in the Strand area, Huis Esperanza and Huis Pam Brink, each offering a different level of support while sharing the same focus on dignity, care, and community.
Huis Esperanza mainly supports residents requiring dementia and frail care and can accommodate around 140 residents. The home is currently undergoing exciting renovations, where five lower-floor rooms are being upgraded into more comfortable single-occupancy spaces. Two of the rooms will include ensuite bathrooms, while three rooms will share bathroom facilities and a communal lounge and kitchenette area. These shared spaces are designed to encourage comfort, connection, and activities among residents.

Huis Pam Brink, situated only minutes from the beach, focuses more on assisted, while still offering some frail care support. Home to approximately 120 residents, the facility creates a balance between independence and support, helping residents continue daily life in a safe and welcoming environment. The home also features an on-site coffee shop and in-house hairdresser, creating opportunities for social connection and relaxation.

Both homes provide 24-hour nursing and care worker support, ensuring residents receive continuous care and assistance. Residents are served three meals a day, along with two tea times, helping create routine and comfort throughout the day.
Strand Sorg/Care also places strong emphasis on keeping residents active and engaged according to their level of functionality and interests. Activities such as pet therapy, arts and crafts, knitting groups, puzzles, and colouring-in sessions help encourage social interaction and mental stimulation. Residents also have access to chapel services twice a week, either virtually or through visits from local clergy.
One of the standout features of both homes is the peaceful setting. From the upper floors, residents can enjoy beautiful views of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, adding to the calm and homely atmosphere.

What truly makes Strand Sorg/Care special, however, is the warmth of the people within it. The kindness of the nurses, care workers, and staff creates an environment where residents are treated with compassion, patience, and dignity.

For families looking for a caring and supportive environment for a loved one, Strand Sorg/Care offers more than just a facility. It offers a place that feels like home.
