October is International Month of Older Persons, and Badisa is reminding South Africans that growing older doesn’t mean slowing down. From dances and drumming to Mr and Mrs competitions, older persons at Badisa’s facilities are active, engaged and living with dignity.
South Africa’s ageing population is growing fast, which means more people will need access to quality care and support, especially women, who make up most of the residents in Badisa’s facilities. That’s why Badisa focuses on person-centred care that protects dignity and encourages older persons to remain part of their communities for as long as possible.
Listen to the interview on RSG, where Basie van Wyk and Adrie Jurgensen recently spoke with Lizelle De Bruin about active ageing and the vital role Badisa plays in caring for older persons.
