On November 1, 2005, we proudly opened the doors of our own store, Baaija vir Biekie. This shop sells pre-owned clothes, kitchenware, linens, and other items at extremely affordable prices. The revenue generated is crucial for the financial sustainability of our program and provides a significant service to the community, particularly those facing financial difficulties.
To ensure effective operation and safety, a power backup system has been installed in the store.
In April 2023, we expanded our reach by opening an additional Baaija vir Biekie store in Melkhoutfontein at Ouma Lena se Huis. The income generated from this new location supports Ouma Lena se Huis, where Badisa runs the Seesterretjies nursery school and Afterschool centre.
For the 2023/2024 financial year, the Baaija vir Biekie stores achieved a profit of R163,276, reflecting their vital role in our community and our commitment to providing essential services and support.
