In 2024, the organisation adopted a new supervision policy designed to enhance the development and effectiveness of social service practitioners. Key elements of this policy include:

There are four levels of progress/growth, and all indicators must be met before a social service practitioner can operate independently:

  1. Novice/Entry Level: 0-18 months of uninterrupted experience in child protection services.
  2. Intermediate/Capable Level: 18 months to 3 years of uninterrupted experience in child protection services.
  3. Advanced/Accomplished Level: 3-5 years of uninterrupted experience in child protection services.
  4. Expert/Authoritative Level: 5 years or more, at which point the social worker can work independently.

Badisa’s supervision policy strikes a balance between theory and practice, helping leaders to discover their authentic leadership and supervision styles. The program is grounded in the principles of adult learning and development, ensuring a robust and supportive environment for professional growth.
