Steinthal Children’s Home is a residential child and youth care centre and a programme of Badisa, jointly founded by the Dutch Reformed Church (Western Cape) and the United Reformed Church in Southern Africa.

The Governing Board of the Children’s Home seeks an experienced bookkeeper to join a dynamic competent multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of traumatised children, whose challenging conduct sometimes reflects their emotions.

The designated candidate will report to the Manager and Governing Board of the Children’s Home and be responsible for the following:

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting degree or diploma) with at least five years’ bookkeeping experience; and demonstrate good computer and numeric skills (Pastel, VIP Payroll, SARS E-filing, Excel). The incumbent should be a detailed, task-oriented personality, with good communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English and Afrikaans.

The salary package is negotiable with benefits including medical, pension and sufficient annual leave.
